Good News and Bad News

The good news first...the Pilgrims are gone from our neighbors' yard!

The bad news...penguins and snowmen took their place.

Fantastic.

Sorry it's blurry. I was scared I was going to get caught. If I would have had more time, I would have gotten a shot of the wooden cut-out (lit up by its own spotlight, of course) of Baby Asher in the manger with a sign that says "the reason for the season." I could only assume it was Baby Asher because he had blond hair and blue eyes. And unless middle eastern babies looked really different 2,000 years ago, there's no way that could be Jesus.

At least the Pilgrims were the right ethnicity.

Why did the pilgrims have to leave? Don't they celebrate Christmas? They could hang with the penguins. Wait--they would never recognize such a 'popish' ritual.

Man, those neighbors at least keep their yard art consistent. Gotta give'em that.

Now they just need one of those inflatable Santas (or whatever Christmasy item they desire) that deflates every night when it gets too cold and ends up in a lttle canvas blog on the ground.

That's a practical use for PV=nRT.

Ok Hil, this is for you.... the "yard yuck" in jamie's neighbor's yard is bad....but I can overlook that. What I can't overlook is the giant gaps in the icicle lights. I am an icicle light snob.Icicle light snobs have to have their icicle lights put up perfectly straight,no slack in the wire. Also, when putting up the individual strands,we clip them on so as not to leave any gaps between the connections. Thanks for asking Hilary. I may start a blog just for you. Nice to know I have a fan.
