The Pajamas

I bought these pajamas for Asher right after I found out I was having a boy. The shirt has a set of headphones on it and the bottoms are covered in little cassette tapes--so cute! It seemed like forever until he would be here and big enough to wear them. Then we brought home a little, not quite 5 lb. runt and I saw these pajamas in his closet and it really seemed like it would be forever until he wore them.

And now he is wearing them. And that, as I am learning, is life summed up. "Hurry up and get here!" is quickly replaced by "Remember when...."

So I'm reminded to enjoy this time of wobbly sitting and toothless grins and one-sided conversations and when I am tempted to long for the next big milestone to occur, I will stop and think about how sweet it is to be exactly where we are... and also about these pajamas.

ps--Asher updated his blog :)

I love those pjs! So great. Its funny about how fast they grow--I have to go through J's wardrobe periodically to see what he can wear this week! Its sad there are some clothes that we missed out on because he grew before we knew it! I like to keep a newborn diaper around to remind me how much he has grown--its just crazy! --Kathy

Oh sweet smoochy little thing! He's a doll. Enjoy it all, because you are right, it goes by so quickly!

How true that statement is. Now that Caleb is 3 1/2 and about to start Pre-k, I am shocked by how quickly my little baby boy is becoming just a little boy..soon to be a big boy, to a (gulp) teenager, then a man. It goes by so fast. With Cora, I am trying to be more aware and appreciative of each baby stage she goes through. 'Cause sooner than we think, all us mommas will have are pictures, videos, and our memories..

I will add -- enjoy the "one-sided conversations" while you can! It will be replaced with "endless chatter" before you know it!! All of the sudden, HE will be dominating the conversations! (And you'll be wishing for some quiet moments!)
