A lot changes in 3 months...

I can hardly believe how much he has grown already! The sagging skin and wrinkled forehead are gone! In its place are fat rolls and two chins!

This weekend we will attend the NICU reunion. Apparently every year, The Woman's Hospital hosts a reunion for all the babies that have been in the NICU. I think it is to encourage those of us with babies still trying to catch up by seeing the older kids that have risen above their tiny beginnings. The nurses come too and I'm sure they are encouraged by seeing their little patients doing so well. We are definitely looking forward to it!

p.s. new pics on Shutterfly :)

Look at your pretty baby boy! He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute!! Maybe premie babies are cuter?? Ya think??

Seeing his NICU picture made me want to cry. I'm tired and emotional the moment so that's why. But the memories come flooding back. Perhaps they always will? Maybe you feel the same? I sort of don't even want the memories to go. They are part of our story, my son's story and tell of how God used a very scary time to show us again how much He loves us! (Note: I would very much like to NOT re-experience this with my next son!!)

I do feel the same. That was the hardest thing I have ever been through, but we learned so much and have a whole new perspective on how precious our little boy truly is! But I agree, I hope for both of us that the next baby will stay in and "cook" a little longer :) But whatever God ordains is right!

He is a breathing, crying, smiling answered prayer. Praise God for his grace and blessing upon us.

How was the NICU reunion?

Unfortunately, we didn't end up going :( Asher had been off schedule for 2 days and the reunion was at 6 pm down in the museum district. I didn't think he would fare too well so we just stayed home. But next year, we are definitely going!
