I forgot to tell you...

I finished Asher's bedding!

And he is sleeping in his bed!!! I started the whole "Babywise" thing last week and he is doing great with it. He sleeps in his own bed and takes several naps during the day---which he never did before. I was worn out and so was he! Last night was a little rough, but he has been averaging about 4 hours from feeding to feeding during the night. It was every hour and a half so I am thrilled with the progress! He fusses a little when he goes down for naps, but at night, he goes right to sleep.

He is almost 13 weeks and packing on the pounds (roughly 10 of them.)

****UPDATE: We went to the dr. today (5/8). He's been waking up at night not able to breathe very well--she thinks he has acid reflux :( But the good news is he weighed 11 lbs. 4 oz. !!! Granted that was with a diaper, a onesie, and shorts on, but still...! *****

Here are a few recent pictures...

Check out the leg chub! We are most proud of it!

He went over to Tye's house and played a few days ago. Here is a great picture of the two of them...what do you think the caption should be for this one?

Possible caption, "What is this material? Cotton?" LOVE the chubby leg!!! Did Asher also have old man legs like Jon David? The skin just hung on him for weeks. The bedding looks BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm also very excited to hear about his improved sleep!!!! I've been meaning to write you back via email and have not yet but I want to (does that count??). :) Keep up the great work!!

Congrats on the leg chub! I just love it on babies- too cute! He looks completely different from when we saw him a few weeks ago. He really is packing on the pounds. Way to go, Mom and Asher! So glad for you that he is sleeping better. Those consecutive hours make all the difference.

Denise--yes, Asher totally had old man legs (and old man bottom :)
And yes, wanting to email counts!

Laura--thanks for being my "Babywise" consultant!!! You are right--those consecutive hours make me feel like a new woman!

Yay! That's awesome! (the leg chub AND sleep!) We put Jake in his bed the second night we had him home. I think it really helped him too. Your bedding looks amazing, by the way. Props to you for being such an awesome seamstress!

TL: "Thats enough out of you" (shove)
AR: Let me introduce you to my fists of fury!!!!!!

Thats what I got from that picture. In real life, they are way to laid back at this age to tell if that was the true intentions behind the actions caught on film. Asher may be little, but he is scrappy!

I agree with Kris and second his caption. It totally looks like they are in a fist fight.

Not our sweet little boys!

Not REAL fighting but just play fighting.

Ah, the bedding looks great!! I'm so impressed!
AND Asher looks so different, its so wonderful to see those fat rolls! It sounds like He and Josiah are on the same growth track--he was 10lbs 8oz at his last dr's visit.
That picture of Tye and Asher is GREAT! Maybe they aren't play fighting, they are straightening each other's shirts for the camera.

After much thought and spending time with middle school students I think Tye is saying, by hitting of course men would never use words:

"You're in my personal space!"

I do think Asher is a scappy one, watch out for those fists of fury.--dirk

picture caption should say... sure it is all fun and games until someone lays you on a blanket with squares.......and then things turn ugly.
