It's funny because I saw these in the Target ad yesterday and spent a moment contemplating the white between the toe sandals I had circa 1978. I DO think these are pretty cute and voted that you should keep them (so much for the secret ballot--it's like people who put campaign signs in their front yard) and proceed with caution. I think they would look best with a skirt, but my mind could be changed. Maybe shorts. Probably not capris or jeans.
I was not sure how to vote until I clicked on the view which showed the sole of the shoe and enlarged it as much as I possibly could. That's what sold me! Just remember, you can have the cutest sandals on in the world but if you are in dire need of a pedi...cute sandals won't help. I'm just saying.
I ditto Laura's comment (do you watch What Not To Wear too??). I would totally wear them with everything - except winter clothes, of course. Metallics are the perfect neutral, I think.
I looked at them in the store but I thought they looked much cuter on the shelf then on my feet, but I also have narrow size 11 feet, so that may have something to do with it. However, I did purchase the Mossimo Pauline Gladiater ones in bronze and loove them...and have gotten complimented on them so much, it's becoming a joke with my husband and I...definitely need a bronze/gold sandal for the summer, girl!
I was just at the Target. Your shoes are quite popular. They only have about 3 pair left in the Gold!! Better go get them fast.
See, I told you I'm NOT the fashion queen. I would have thought black would have been the first to go. Not the case........Gold is the #1 choice based on what's left on the shelves!!
They are cute, I like the design...I would like them better in silver. How do they LOOK on your feet??? Does the gold compliment your skin tone??? And I think they would look SUPER hot with great jeans!!! NO capris....take that back, maybe white linen capris. I don't know that I would wear them with shorts unless they were more "trendy" style. They would also look great with your toes painted RED...no pink, otherwise your feet might look washed out. ;-) Good luck! :)
That is exactly my issue with them--my skin tone...or lack thereof ;) I tried to wear them today and took them off. I think I am a little too fair to pull of the color. I do think they would look good with jeans, but it is summer and if I'm going to buy new shoes, they need to be something that I can wear with skirts.
I'm bummed because I do think they are really cute, but if I can't think of at least 3 outfits that they would go with, then they must be replaced by something more versitile.
Here's my number one advice on clothing, doesn't matter how great a deal, if you don't LOVE it, you may not wear it=waste of time and dinero. Me, I would hold out, and save my shekels until I found something unique and that I absolutely had to have...naturally, because I love what I have just purchased, I would make every effort to wear the item!!! :) You sure they don't have them in silver? That may look really great with your creamy skin tone. Have you tried wearing them with a red toe nail polish? That would spruce up your tone, if you are that much in love with them....
These are really cute. Treat the color like a neutral and they go with almost everything. Things don't have to match anymore; they just have to "go."

All that said, I'm still torn.
Hey Jamie
ReplyDeleteThey would look good with Maxi dresses, I'm thinking. And you could get some in a variety of lengths to have more outfits.
They also look better with pedal pusher length pants then with capris..
